Frequently answered questions
Can I use my seed phrase from another wallet such as Metamask in Scramble?
Yes, you can! You can enter your phrase into Scramble and manage all your assets across supported networks accordingly.
Can I use Metamask and Scramble at the same time?
Yes, but DApps such as GenieSwap will only work with one of them. If you install Scramble and want to continue using Metamask you need to disable DApp injection in Scramble:
Settings > General > Turn off Ethereum for 1 hour
Are my funds safe?
Scramble is a non-custodial wallet. This means you own your seed phrase and nobody has access to your funds including us! So manage your private keys wisely.
Can I swap my assets within Scramble?
Yes you can swap on-chain between assets like ETH and USDT for example, but also cross-chain – for example from BTC to ETH. The cross-chain swap is handled by Changelly.
Does Scramble support Non-EVM networks?
Yes, Scramble supports selected Non-EVM networks such as Polkadot, Bitcoin and soon Tron.
Can I use Scramble on my mobile phone?
Yes, Scramble is available as browser extension on the App Store for iOS and in the Chrome Store for your Kiwi Browser on Android. Please refer to the Getting started section.
Why are not all of my accounts imported?
When importing from your recovery phrase (mnemonic phrase), Scramble will import the first account. To show more accounts, tap on “Add Account” inside your account view.
Why does Scramble need the permission to read all websites and my clipboard?
“Read and modify all your data on all websites”. Scramble (& all other browser wallets like Metamask) need this permission so you can use the wallet with DApps (“Decentralized Apps”). That means without this permission the “Connect Wallet” button on GenieSwap as well as other websites would not work.
“Read and modify data you copy and paste.” This permission is used for some features within the wallet that make it much easier for you to use. For example, without this permission, wallet addresses could not be copied or pasted, which would make using Scramble much more difficult. For this reason, all browser wallets known to us also require this permission.
